As a typical 3-year-old, I was obsessed with drawing sceneries-you know the ones with two perfect mountains, the sun peeking from the corner of the page, a river snaking its way down between the peaks, with ducks floating in my unevenly crayoned water, and a little house that somehow hovered in mid-air.​ But as time flew by, I began to notice more than just shapes and colors. Perspective, color scales, hatching techniques - they all started making sense, even though I wasn’t really focused on the ‘how’ and ‘why.’ It was through practice and observation that I realized something powerful - art isn’t just about creating, it’s about meaning. And that’s when my love for art transformed. I didn’t just want to draw, I wanted my art to tell stories, to connect, to matter. That’s when the idea struck me that India has such a rich, diverse art heritage, filled with stories, traditions, and masterful techniques passed down through generations. Why not celebrate that?
